The Cancel Request option allows end-users that have submitted a request to cancel their requests (delete request) after the initial submission. Once canceled, the request flow will stop, and the system will remove the currently assigned task from the current recipient’s queue. The request will also be removed from Manage Requests, Monitor Requests, and View My Requests.
Cancel Request – Configuration
Only the process administrator will have access to enable/disable this feature.
To enable the Cancel Request option, go to Processes under Administration, and open the process that needs this feature. Click the Process Detail section and find the Allow Request to be Cancelled button and toggle it on.
Once enabled, the option to cancel a request will appear in the Request Detail tab for all newly initiated requests.
Cancel a Request (Delete Request)
The Cancel Request option will only be available for the Requester and Client of the request. It will not be available to other recipients that are part of the workflow.
Navigate to View My Requests under Actions in the navigation pane, find the request you want to cancel (note that only the workflows that have this feature enabled will present this option), and Click Cancel Request in the Request Detail tab.
Once the request is canceled, current assignees will have their task canceled and removed from the View My Tasks Section without a notification. The request will also be inaccessible via Monitor Requests, Manage Requests.
Reporting and Canceled Requests
Canceled requests can be included on reports. To remove the canceled requests from a report, a report filter should be added as follows:
Source: Request | Field: Last Milestone | Operator: is not | Value: Cancelled By Requester. See the example below.
